About Me

I’m focused on practical, hands-on IT and enjoy solving problems methodically.

Academic Background

I’m studying Computer Systems Technician – ITIS at Sheridan College. I have taken courses involving computer hardware; MS Access, Word and Excel; Windows Administration; and courses covering many other topics. My preference has always been surrounding computer hardware and troubleshooting, which drew me to the field to begin with.

Professional Experience

I am privileged to have completed two co-op terms with my school that expanded my knowledge of IT. The first was with Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), a pharmaceutical company based in Burlington, ON, in 2024. I had to manage the IT inventory, receive and place orders, help users around the building with technical issues, and much more.

My second term took place in January of 2025 — I was hired by Martinrea Industrial, a car part manufacturing plant in Woodbridge, ON. This co-op experience was different from the first in that it was much more hands on with having to perform troubleshooting at several workstation computers around the plant floor, involving printer and scanner troubleshooting. I also helped users at their desks when hardware issues arose.

Why This Program

After having tried studying different areas like accounting and kinesiology in the past, I began studies in IT and enrolled in Sheridan's CST program in Fall 2023 to learn more of the basics of computers. I do not know which field I would like to specialize in and require more training to find out.

Why Web Technologies

I’m interested in web technologies because building interfaces that are clear and reliable feels practical, and it lets me apply the same problem-solving approach I use in hardware and troubleshooting.
